THEME OF THE DAYS:
ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE AND SCALING LAWS
This symposium is organized for the teachers of preparatory classes by the Physics Departments of the Ecole Normale Supérieure and the École Polytechnique.
The order of magnitude analysis and the qualitative reasoning are very important in physics. In this new session, X / ENS / UPS will illustrate how it can be used in a wide variety of fields, from the physics of critical phenomena to the physics of sport.
