Giulio Biroli has been awarded the Aumale Prize of the Fondation de l’Institut de France

The prize is awarded to Giulio Biroli, theoretical physicist at LPS, for his work on many aspects of statistical physics of disordered media, such as glasses or amorphous materials.

The Aumale Prize of the Foundation of the Institut de France, created in 1866, is an annual prize awarded on the proposal of each of the five Academies of the Institute (French Academy, Academy of Inscriptions and belles-lettres, Academy of Sciences, Academy of Fine Arts, Academy of Moral and Political Sciences).
It is awarded every 5 years by the Academy of Sciences.
