The quantum optics and nanophotonics course is delivered as two half semestres.
The first half semester is devoted to give an overview of the major achievements in nanophotonics. Revisiting the basics of light-matter interaction in condensed matter, we will explore both recent fundamental research and technological developments in nanoscience and photonics. A large emphasis will be put on the discusssion of seminal experimental results.
Indicative list of topics in nanophotonics:
The second half-semester is devoted to an introduction to quantum optics and its associated major breakthrough in the manipulation and detection of quantum states of light.
Indicative list of topics in quantum optics:
Courses are given by Christophe Voisin (Nanophotonics), Nicolas Treps (Quantum optics) tutorials by Emmanuel Baudin
