Ultrashort laser pulse interaction with atomic vapor.
David SARKISYAN (Institute for Physical Research, Armenian Academy of Science)

Jeudi 3 décembre 1998

A review of some of non-linear processes which occur in the case of ultrashort laser pulse propagation through a column of atomic or molecular vapor is presented. The non-linear processes are transient stimulated Raman scattering, four wave-mixing , third harmonic generation, conical emission generation, photobleaching of molecular vapor and others.

A brief report concerning high temperature optical cells which contain alkaline metals and allow to investigate new processes are presented.
