Description :

The aim of these seminars is to give a perspective about the role of fundamental science in solving societal problems and boosting industrial innovation. A vision on how quantum technologies are inspiring top-class physics research in the private sector will be the core of this teaching.

Quantum physics in advanced technologies is a set of seminars in which a specific quantum technology or technological issues will be presented by a renowned specialist in the domain. The expert will present the context, the general principle and the open questions that drive the technological challenges. After the seminar students will have extra-time for discussing and questioning the speaker on the scientific subject treated, in order to have insights on the problems raised by the technology and indentify its limits.
